Objective-C was created in the early 1980s by Brad Cox and Tom Love, but later licensed to NeXT. Back in 1985 when Steve Jobs founded NeXT computer after being muscled out of Apple (some say), he began to develop some frameworks for his computers in a language called Objective-C. Swift is Apple's latest and greatest programming language.
